WestJet carry-on size, weight & fees
🇨🇦 Canada
Official carry-on limit is 22 × 14 × 9 in (56 × 23 × 36 cm) and the bag must fit WestJet’s sizing device at the gate. UltraBasic fares include only a personal item — except when travelling to/from Europe and Asia, or when Extended Comfort is purchased for every flight in one direction; both cases include a carry-on bag too. An oversized or extra bag at the gate is checked and charged the checked-bag fee plus an additional service fee. Personal medical devices do not count against the allowance.

⚠️ What security allows ≠ what your fare allows
TSA and CATSA do not care how big or heavy your bag is — that is WestJet’s call. Measure your bag before you leave: gate-check fees are always more expensive than prepaying. Not sure an item can fly at all? Check the item rules.
