If prohibited items like Pocket Knife are discovered at checkpoint screening, screeners will prohibit entry past the security perimeter. You must voluntarily surrender the item for disposal, return landside to pack it in checked luggage, hand it to a non-traveler, or risk law enforcement referral.

Not in the cabin — any knife blade makes it prohibited there, whatever the length. It travels fine in checked luggage, sheathed or wrapped.

Without a knife blade, yes — bladeless multi-tools are allowed in carry-on, and scissors under 4 inches are fine. One blade of any size sends it to the checked bag.
